About McKenzie Bartley
Helping others is McKenzie’s passion – no matter how small or daunting the task. Prior to becoming the Officer Administrator at Nissen and Associates, McKenzie worked at a variety of client management and customer service roles. McKenzie’s curiosity about people is one of her defining traits. She loves getting to know about client accomplishments or their life events. You’ll often find her at the front desk finding solutions for some of the daily puzzles that come with the territory of working in a tax firm. McKenzie (more often than not) is the friendly voice on the other end of the phone whether you are scheduling an appointment or calling with questions. And when you walk in the front door of the office, it’s McKenzie who greets you with a smile.
McKenzie loves learning and embraces the challenges of staying up to date with the constantly changing world of taxes. She earned her Associates degree from Whatcom Community College, stays current with QuickBooks software, and continues to learn more about the nuances of personal finances. The world of finances can be intimidating to navigate. One thing about McKenzie Bartley is that she loves nothing more than helping clients find the expert assistance they need from the staff here at Nissen and Associates.
Outside of work, McKenzie spends her time giving back to the community. She helps coach a local Whatcom County High School Equestrian Team and volunteers in 4-H. She enjoys working with horses and youth since she started giving lessons and instructing riding camps at 15. Activities that recharge her are reading a good book, playing board games with friends (she takes Catan pretty seriously), hitting the beautiful PNW trails, as well as spending time riding her horses.
